The California High Entertainment Unit strives to enrich the lives of students and the community through the performing arts. Cal High offers a strong and diverse music program and color guard program. Programs include:
- Competitive Field Shows (California State Band Championship, Division 5A)
- Indoor Percussion competition
- Color Guard & Winter Guard competition
- Wind Ensemble
- Concert Band
- Jazz Band
- School Musicals
- Community Based Performances
Student artists expand their music performance experience by participating in several of the following programs:
- Whittier Union High School District Honor Band
- Bob Cole Conservatory of Music Honor Band
- California Band Directors Association All-State Honor Band
- Pasadena Tournament of Roses Honor Band
- several students participate in summer Drum Corp International groups
